01The rental agreement

A booking on the site reserves the specific vehicle you chose for specific dates; when you pay, that unit is pulled from the fleet for your dates, with no "or similar" substitution. The rental itself is governed by the written rental agreement signed at pickup, which identifies the vehicle, the drivers, the dates and the charges. If anything in these terms conflicts with the signed agreement, the agreement prevails.

02Requirements

The main driver must be at least 25 years old, or 21 to 24 with one of the two Renter's Collision Protection options added at checkout, hold a valid driver's licence in their name, and present the credit or debit card used for the booking, in their name, for the security deposit hold. Cash is not accepted. Every additional driver must meet the same age and licence requirements and be listed on the agreement; any additional-driver charge is shown before you pay. We may refuse or end a rental if these requirements are not met or if documents appear invalid.

03Payments, taxes and deposit

The rental price is paid in full at booking through our reservation system. Prices are in US dollars. On top of the daily rate and extras, every rental carries taxes and fees of 12%, a Florida surcharge of $15 per rental and a highway recovery fee of about $2.67 per day, all itemized before you pay. Fort Lauderdale delivery is included; Miami delivery is $100 per rental. The rate and total in a quote are guaranteed for 24 hours; availability is confirmed only when you pay.

At pickup we place a $500 security deposit hold on your card. It is a hold, not a charge, released after the vehicle is returned and checked, less any amounts owed for fuel, tolls, fines, cleaning or damage not covered by your coverage option.

04Coverage

Insurance is separate from the daily rate. At checkout you either decline our coverage and provide your own insurer and policy number, in which case you are fully responsible for damage to or theft of the vehicle and for third-party claims, or you add Renter's Collision Protection: $35 per day with a $1,000 deductible (collision damage up to $20,000) or $59 per day with a $500 deductible (up to $35,000). Coverage is non-refundable once purchased and applies as long as no authorized driver violates the rental agreement. Drivers aged 21 to 24 must add one of the two coverage options.

05Cancellation and changes

You may cancel up to 7 days before the scheduled pickup for a full refund. Cancellations between 7 days and the pickup day are refunded less one day's rate. No-shows are non-refundable. Date changes are free at any time, subject to availability of the same vehicle. If we cannot provide the vehicle you booked for reasons within our control, we will offer an equal or better vehicle or a full refund.

06Use of the vehicle

The vehicle may be driven only by drivers listed on the agreement, on paved roads, and never on the beach, on unmarked trails, for towing, for hire, in races, while impaired, or in breach of the law. Smoking, vaping and drugs are prohibited in every vehicle. A 3-day rental includes 600 miles; the allowance for other lengths and the rate per extra mile are shown in your quote and agreement. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level, or add the $99 prepaid tank. Normal cleaning is included; excessive sand, dirt or mud is $65. You are responsible for the vehicle from pickup to return, for securing it when parked, and for all tolls and fines incurred during the rental, billed as set out in the agreement.

07Damage and liability

Joint photos are taken at delivery and at return. Report any accident, theft or damage to us immediately and to the police where required. You are liable for the deductible of the coverage you chose and for any loss or damage it does not cover, and for all damage caused while the vehicle was used in breach of the agreement, where coverage does not apply.

08Our liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, cruises or connections, beyond the amount you paid for the rental. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

09Site use

Content on bextusa.com is ours or licensed to us and may not be reused without permission. We try to keep prices and availability accurate, but the price confirmed at checkout is the one that applies. We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published at the time of your booking.

10Governing law and disputes

These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA, where BEXT USA LLC is organized; the rental agreement you sign at pickup states the law that governs the rental itself. Before starting any formal proceeding, contact us at contact@bextusa.com or +1 (305) 797-4268 and we will try to resolve the matter within 30 days. Any dispute is resolved on an individual basis: you and BEXT each agree not to bring or take part in a class, collective or representative action.
